Report of Findings
On May 20, 2020, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns regarding Care and Supervision and Notification of Illness.

The allegations included the following details:
- Inadequate monitoring of food intake.
- Inadequate medical attention.
- Inadequate care and supervision.
- Inadequate communication concerning cause of death.
- Inequitable access to a person in care.

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. The following contraventions were determined:
- Residential Care Regulation (RCR) Section 61 Self monitoring of a community care facility.
- RCR Section 85(1)(c) Policies and procedures

30240 - RCR s.61A licensee must regularly monitor the physical environment of the community care facility, and the care and services provided by it, to ensure that the requirements of the Act and this regulation are being met.
Observation: Licensing determined the facility did not adequately self-monitor.

33240 - RCR s.85(1)(c)(i)A licensee must do all of the following: (c) make all policies and procedures available (i) to employees at all times.
Observation: Licensing determined that the policies and procedures were not available to staff.
Corrective action: Corrective action required.
