Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing received a complaint on November 23, 2023, regarding the physical facility, care and supervision, policies and procedures, and medication.

All areas of the complaint were investigated in full. Evidence was obtained and reviewed through on-site inspections, interviews, and a review of documentation.

Licensing confirmed that the call bell located in a person in care’s bathroom did not work and they could not use it to call for assistance if needed.

The following contravention to the Residential Care Regulation was determined: section 21(c), Equipment and Furnishings.

31260 - RCR s.21(c)A licensee must ensure that all furniture and equipment for use by persons in care (c) are maintained in a good state of repair.
Observation: The call bell located in the PICs bathroom did not work and the PIC could not use it to call for assistance if needed.
Corrective action: Please ensure the PICs bathroom call bell is maintained in a good state of repair.

- Corrective action plan to be developed and submitted.
- A health and safety plan was provided on November 27, 2023 to address the contravention identified during the investigation. The health and safety plan remains in place at the time of conclusion to address the contravention.
