Code 211 noted on Routine inspection # MBEK-ASQS3N of Nov-02-2017 Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected (1. Barbicide in use for disinfection of semi critical nail tools (nail nippers, clippers, cuticle pushers) and tweezers. 2. No sanitizing step in place for dishwashing, as stated by staff. Only one sink plug available. ) Code 217 noted on Routine inspection # MBEK-ASQS3N of Nov-02-2017 Biomedical waste and/or sharps not disposed of in an adequate manner (No sharps container available for credo blades. )

Follow up to Rpt # MBEK-ASQS3N - Discussed dishwashing with owner on site. Additional sink plug and smooth, impermeable drying rack base have been obtained. Towel has been removed and manual dishwashing poster is posted. - It was noted that the credo blades will not be used and are to be removed from the premises. Please ensure an appropriate sharps bin is available if blades are used in the future. - Nail implement storage station has been re-organized and cleaned. Tools are stored in a sanitary manner. - Currently there is hair clipper blade cleaner on site. Please obtain a hair clipper blade disinfectant on site for low level disinfection. Disinfectant should have an eight digit DIN (Drug Identification Number). *Note: Owner has ordered disinfectant at time of inspection. - 7% accelerated hydrogen peroxide (EXP: 05/23/2018, DIN: 02437295) available for semi critical items (metal nail tools and tweezers) *Note: For this product, please follow manufacturer's directions. Product is to be used undiluted and items are to be fully submerged for 20 minutes. Rinse items with potable water and store in a way that protects from contamination. Product can be reused for up to 14 days--please ensure that a date change log is in place. Please be mindful of the expiry date. Please contact the inspector if you have any questions or concerns.
