Introduction

On August 22 and 24, 2017, CCFL attempted to conduct part one of a routine inspection. However, the Manager was not on site. On August 22, 2017 as there was only one staff on site, the physical inspection could not be completed. On August 24, no one was on site.

On August 24, 2017 during a follow up phone call, it was agreed with the Manager that a scheduled routine inspection would be done with a staff member as the Manager is on vacation for 2 weeks.

This report is based on the Licensing Officer (L.O.) guide to data base coding in conjunction with the L.O.'s observations, review of facility records, and information provided by the Manager at the time of the inspection.

The following areas were reviewed:

Licensing
Physical Facility
Care and Supervision
Hygiene and Communicable Disease Control
Medication
Nutrition and Food Services
Programming
Records and Reporting

As the Manager is not present staff records were not reviewed.

Comments

Records for one resident were reviewed at the time of this inspection. As discussed, it is strongly recommended that the activity calendar be more specific as to actual activities.

Also as discussed the system currently in use does not consistently provide information in regards to review dates. Therefore, the quarterly report was referred to to confirm if all required documentation has been reviewed with in the last year.

All items as per the above noted guide appear to meet the intent of the RCR and CCALA.

CCFL would like to thank your for your time and assistance during the process of this inspection.
