PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 31790 - RCR s.35(2)(b) - A licensee must ensure that laundry facilities (b) if not used by persons in care, cannot be accessed by persons in care.
Observation: During inspection of the physical facility, the laundry room door was noted to be open. It was observed in the laundry room to have cleaning agents and chemicals that would pose a risk to the persons in care.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that the door to the laundry is secured.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 31860 - RCR s.69(3)(a) - A licensee must ensure that (a) all medications in the community care facility are safely and securely stored.
Observation: During inspection of the medication storage areas, 2 unsecured medications were observed to be stored in the dining room refrigerator.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that medications are safely and securely stored.
Date to be Corrected: Staff were directed to correct this during the inspection. Please provide a plan as to how you will ensure that medications requiring refrigeration are securely stored by August 27th, 2021.
HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE: 35020 - RCR s.49(1) - A licensee must require all persons admitted to a community care facility to comply with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation: In review of the persons in care charts, it was noted for 2 persons in care that the TB and immunization record was not available for review.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that all persons admitted comply with the Province's immunization and TB control program.
