Follow-Up Inspection Report

Follow-up to Routine Inspection #JMEA-CE4TPR

A follow-up inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (C.C.A.L.A.), the Residential Care Regulation (R.C.R.), and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (D.L.S.P.). Evidence for this report was based on the licensing officer's observations, review of the facility records, and information provided by the facility staff at the time of inspection.

The purpose of this inspection is to complete a follow-up to the routine inspection dated May 4, 2022.

Please provide a response by June 16, 2022 as to how the contravention identified on this report will be addressed.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 32270 - RCR s.44(2) - A licensee who accommodates 50 or more persons in care in a community care facility must have, to supervise the preparation and delivery of food, a food services manager who is (a) a nutrition manager with membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management, (b) a person who is eligible to be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management, or (c) a dietitian.
Observation: Review of a staffing file indicated the staff supervising the preparation and delivery of food does not have membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure the staff who is supervising the preparation and delivery of food has a membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
