Report of Findings
On July 13, 2022, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns regarding care and supervision and general health and hygiene.

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was collected through review of documentation and communications with the facility management.

The following contraventions were determined:

Residential Care Regulation Section 63(3)(a)(iv) Food preparation and service
Residential Care Regulation Section 89(1) Record of complaints and compliance

34370 - RCR s.63(3)(c)(iv)A licensee must ensure that meals are provided (c) by ongoing room tray service, if (iv) reassessed by the person in care's medical practitioner, nurse practitioner or dietitian at least once every 30 days.
Observation: It was determined that staff failed to ensure that the PIC was provided meals in a dining room. Staff also did not obtain written orders from a medical/nurse practitioner or dietitian to provide the PIC ongoing tray service
