- Wading pool in operation Tues to Sat 11:00am to 5:00pm except Wed 12:30 to 7:00pm - Fence present around perimeter of pool; however, pool is filled prior to operation and drained at the end of the day. - Pool rules and no lifeguard on duty signs were posted. - Pool basin and deck appear clean and maintained. - Water clarity was good - Temperature of water: 24C - Chemical parameters tested were in compliance: - FAC 1.6ppm *Pool water was tested at time of inspection as part of regular 30min interval testing and additional chlorine added. Once re-opened, FAC measured 4ppm. - CAC 0ppm - pH 7.6 - Chlorine and pH are tested every 30min and pool is closed for additional chlorine to be added if level is <2ppm. - Records for testing of chlorine and pH were present and up to date for today. Rec Leader reported previous days records currently at office for review. - Chemicals stored in locked cabinet. - City of Burnaby Program Staff present on-site and have been trained with the wading pool operation procedures - Drinking water available at drinking water fountain in park - Washrooms available at community centre Attention needed: - Pool safety plan present and plan indicates it was reviewed Jul-2023. Certain sections of the plan in binder on-site appear incomplete. This information may be captured in different City of Burnaby procedures in binder present on-site. Review plan to ensure copy on-site is complete. If information is located in a separate policy/procedure, record name of policy/procedure in applicable section of Pool safety plan and where to locate it.
