- Operator to submit written confirmation that they understand the requirements of the CCALA regarding the number of persons they may provide care to without a licence

CCALA Section 5 - Licensing: The operator admitted in an interview to caring for more than two children who were not related by blood of marriage over a period of time in September 2019.

Conclusion and Recommendations:
After site visit to care provider's address it was determined through interview with operator that the operator had been providing care in contravention of Section 5 of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act. Providing care for too many children while being unlicensed to provide that care.

Care provider came into compliance by limiting the number of children cared for to a sibling group.

Further follow-up inspections will be completed to ensure care provider remains in compliance with the CCALA.
