Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
Code | Description / Observation / Corrective Action |
301 | Critical Storage Practices Observation: Operator provided photo to Northern Health showcasing the concrete cistern for the Harmony Heights Mobile Home Park is covered by a blanket. Public Health significance - a blanket cannot protect the potable water in the cistern from pests, debris, or other contaminants. Corrective Action: A proper enclosure needs to be constructed and in place to protect the potable water from contamination. |
313 | Critical Inadequate treatment Observation: A Public Health Engineer's assessment of the treatment system (sent to operator along with this inspection report) determined that it is not meeting the 4-3-2-1-0 treatment objectives for surface water sources. Required chlorine contact time is not being met, as well as insufficient disinfection credits for Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Public Health significance - inadequate treatment can lead to water users becoming sick from waterborne illnesses e.g., Giardiasis (beaver fever). Corrective Action: Provide a Construction Permit Application to Northern Health's Public Health Engineer for the proposed updates to the treatment system so that it meets the 4-3-2-1-0 treatment objectives for surface water sources. |
