Code Description / Observation / Corrective Action
319   Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Observation: As noted in the previous routine inspection, the most recent chemical/physical analysis of the source water was conducted in 2002. Provided the operator a copy of a letter maile dout to all drinking water systems in May 2019 requesting a chemical /physical analysis if not done within the last 5 years.
Corrective Action: A full chemicall/physical analysis of the source water must be submitted to the Environmental Health Officer within 2 months.
321   Inadequate Treatment
Observation: This system does not meet the current water quality treatment objectives for surface water; additional treatment is required.
Corrective Action: A copy of the "Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (Microbiological) for Surface Water Supplies in BC" was provided to the operator.
Water system consists of a surface water source, 5 micron filter & UV. UV alarm was powered on. Filter & UV bulb was recently changed, and was recorded on a maintenance log. Emergency Response Plan was available. Operator had completed the 2018 Annual Report during the inspection. Reminder: Annual Reports for a calendar year must be completed by June 30th of the following year. Bacteriological samples were being submitted as per the minimum legislative requirement (4 samples/month).
