Code Description / Observation / Corrective Action
318   Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data
Corrective Action: Samples are not being submitted on a regular basis for bacteriological testing; only one sample has been submitted for 2017. Historically, only one sample per month was submitted, the requirement is four per month - increase to a minimum of two per month for the remainder of this season.
319   Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Corrective Action: A chemical/physical analysis of the source water has not been conducted since 2002. A full analysis of the water quality is required prior to the next season.
321   Inadequate Treatment
Corrective Action: This system does not meet the current water quality treatment objectives for surface water; additional treatment is required, requirements were discussed with the property owner and a copy of the "Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (microbiological) for Surface Water Supplies in BC" was left with the owner.
Water system consists of a surface source, 5 micron filter and UV. An alarm has been added to the UV device. Annual report for 2016 has not been completed; a template was provided to the owner, this must be completed and submitted to the EHO. An Emergency Response Plan is available, however the file copy is out-of-date. Review the ERP and provide updates to the EHO; the ERP must be available to staff. Ensure all maintenance, filter changes and bulb changes are recorded on the log sheets next to the treatment system. It is recommended that the Operator complete the Water Safe training course.
