Report of Findings
On October 25, 2022, CCFL received a complaint alleging concerns regarding Care and Supervision and Medication.

The following information was obtained:
- staff did not ensure the hearing aids of a person in care were appropriately cared for
- medication was administered to the person in care without a medical practitioners order to do so

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence from the licensee was received and reviewed.

The following contraventions were determined:

39310 - RCR s.81(1)If a person in care is admitted to the community care facility for a period of more than 30 days, a licensee must ensure that a care plan for the person in care is made in accordance with this section within 30 days of admission.
Observation: The care plan to guide staff in the management of the PICs hearing aids, including safe storage of the PIC's hearing aids, was not developed within 30 days of admission to the licensed facility.
