On December 29, 2022 Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns regarding care and supervision. The allegations included the following details: Inadequate assistance with feeding resulting in nutritional needs not being met Inadequate staffing resulting in the PIC’s personal hygiene and care needs not being met Family not being notified regarding a change in care needs due to illness All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed through staff interviews, communications with facility management, and a review of documentation. The following contraventions were determined: Residential Care Regulation Section 76(1) Notification of illness or injury Residential Care Regulation Section 85(1)(d) Policies and procedures |
